This and That

Gather knowledge from each stage of your life and be what you want to be

I had been a lecturer for six years and that is what I thought I am going to be for the rest of my life. I loved teaching and loved every bit of it. I found satisfaction in embarking knowledge to the next generation. I found satisfaction in exploring new ways to teach them old topics. I found pleasure in the research work and deriving meaningful results.

And things changed…

Now, I work in a space where I wear multiple hats…

I am a social media manager, project manager, event manager, email marketer and resource manager. I am also a writer. I also am the communication person for the department I work for. And this is not the exhausted list of my job.

I revered and still do what I did. But never had I ever in my wildest dreams imagined that I could do anything other than teach a bunch of kids.

You can use all the knowledge and experience you have and reach your level of satisfaction.

  • The compassion I had for new minds when teaching them, has developed in me the ability now to speak and be patient with customers from different cultural backgrounds.
  • My qualifications and teaching experience give me the confidence to create surveys and analyse data to help make mindful decisions.
  • Rapidly changing times have showed me to appreciate the need to learn and make the best use of social media platforms and new ways to reach people.

Do not limit yourself.

You can be this AND you can be that as well.

You can be a mix of all the amazing things you want to be.

Never think of any stage of your life as a waste. Extract knowledge from each step of your life to use it in the next.
